History

In 1981, theatre director Brigid Kitchin realised an opportunity to offer professional theatre workshops for young people in the Unley City area. Without hesitation, Unley Council supported Brigid’s dream with access to the 'Cottage' on Edmund Avenue and that is where the company resided for 31 years until, in 2012, the company relocated to its own theatre home….The Goodwood Institute.

Urban Myth Theatre Company has existed for 32 years to provide quality arts programs that offer young people and emerging artists a safe environment to develop their skills both artistic and personal.
